I'd love to shoot at one!But currently I can't as the piston leaks I'll get to work on fixing it tomorow after work.I thought my cast epoxy piston would work a treat but it obviously doesn't....So I'm going to get myself some solid rubber to make a piston from.Hopefully then it works all well.

rna, is the blowgun just going to hang through the stock? I've been trying to find a way to get a nice handle around a blowgun. I'll probably just end up casting one...
Or can anyone think of a super small pilot trigger that is easy to incorporate into a handle? I could probably make one I guess..

Well it was going to hang through the stock, but I've been thinking a 1/4 ball valve would be better for an authentic rifle look and it won't hurt performance either.
As usual inonickname you'll probably make one as we are very much fabricators on this site

Not really if you buy a metal one, it will open very smoothly. plus its not like he is going for extreme accuracy.qwerty wrote:Wouldnt the ballvalve be abit hard trigger without jerking the gun
Yeah, it's that important.
today i aquired a mini shock pump 300psi capabilities, which is now my new favourate toy,i pumped my mini coaxial up and when i reached 210psi i blew the seal in my blowgun,im wondering if uve had the same problem?? and if not where did u get that blow gun.qwerty wrote:At the moment im using around 100 psi and its 6mm barrel.
but did you see that shock pump i put on?
I cant wait for some 300psi damage pics with a solid nylon piston
also im wondering on where you got your shrader valve from?
i know where to get ur basic ones you find in tyre tubes, but i neeed a threaded one ,to make my gun more asthtically pleasing..
i need a relyable source, and not just a wild stab in the dark
anyone?

Well to make my threaded schraders I remove the rubber from a valve so I am left with a stem, shorten it and epoxy it into a pipe nipple with a hole drilled in it.
If you do a google you might find one..
I've never had a problem with the blowguns..the one I have now doesn't seal below 50 psi (softer spring) so I'll probably replace the spring with one from an old cracked blowgun.

Have had the blowgun upto 350psi and no problems, although time is a telling factor.
Just wondering what you've found to be a great cheap ammo,I've thought of the usual.Sinkers, darts, some plastic BB's that need to be sanded down to fit

I was wondering if anyone would be able to tell me how many fps my projectiles are travelling?,i dont know how to use ggdt with this setup.
i read somewhere that if u can shoot through both sides of an aluminum can (top to bottom) its in the 500fps range is this correct?
here are some pics, the first being the underside of the can and the second it where it hit the seam/fold in the top of the can i presume it would of went through if it didnt hit the seam being twice at thick at the base..

It depends on BB weight. My airsoft AEG shoots a .25g BB through the bottom of a can and dents the upper side, and it's not going in the 500 fps range, more like 380-400 fps.
At 800 fps, a .12g BB will go through the bottom, and shatter instantly, leaving small dents on the upper side.
On a side note, my barrel sealer shoots through bottom+upper+bottom sides when two cans are lined up. (at 250 psi with .24g bio BB)

FORE..the poor man's chronograph uses .20g airsoft bb's.
Seen as your gun has a bore smaller than 6mm, and we live in Australia I'm going to assume you aren't using airsoft bb's, which changes the "readings" completely.
I'll get a shot at the bottom of a can with mine..

I would be more then happy to chrony your gun,if your ever in the north of NSW I have an F1 it gives reliable readings 99% of the time.
And penetration of an object at target has largely to do with sectional density, not velocity. But your can't have one without the other
