going to look like a beaut when its done with a satin black paint job. going to have 6 barrels, it will be longer later.

but still a whole list of stuff to do.

the gatling gun, i hope the pic shouldl explain how it works, a spring loaded firing pin will trave around the outer pipe, and is being pulled slowly away from the spring, when it reaches the 'drop', i will spring back and push a ball out of the barrel.


i had to modify the springs to this

Pretty creative. Good work, cant wait to see it completed. Although I dont know if that much spring lengh will give you much power. It will have to be a pretty powerful spring.

i dont care about power, 5 meters range would make me happy, its the rof i'm after, i wanna rain someone with paintballs, and my paintballs break so easily. other ammo is gum balls and marbles

wikid how far allong are you on it also how do you plan to make it work

also what do you estimate the rate of fire will be

i had an idea of making one that fired glow sticks it would of been pretty cool to see if i had the money to build ita stream of lit glow stick

how do plan to fire it a pintel mount like on a black hawk or like in predditor

my friend made a gatling gun for 1 1/2 inch spuds. it only had 3 barrels but it was pretty cool. he broke one of those spinning bar chairs and used it to rotate his guns and he had our weed wacker to turn it automaticaly
he put this little / looking piece of wood to push in the BBQ starter on the back of all 3 wen it turned. ill try to go get some pictures of it but i have no idea what he did with it. and i need my weed wacker back

Sorry for kicking up a dead topic but, I would like to know what tool you used to cut the spiral shape into the bolt retractor. I may have figured out how to use gatling technology in a pneumatic cannon.

I don't think this is pneumatic or cumbustion. It's just powered by springs. As for my question, I just used a drill to perferate the pipe then cut the rest with a saw.

i used a dremel.
i gave up on this... the pins keeps slipping... i might try again, making it longer will allow me to hold them down

Right now I'm working on a gatling-like gun. It only has one 1.5" barrel and wrapped around that barrel is the spiral groove. The spare chunk that was cut off the spiral of 2" is attached to the bolt and the other chunk is attached to the stationary chamber and clip tee. The gatling bolt will be motorized by an electric screwdriver.

P.S. Multiple barrels only cause more chances to jam.
