i was thinking the other day about building a huge air cannon a 5 inch chamber to hold massive amounts of air with a five inch supah valve from joel
and i was wondering would it be best to reduce down to a 1.5ish to 2in barrell or what size would be the best either way it would be insane

No, thats not how it works. Theres ratios, the chamber is supposed to be bigger than the barrel. Look it up. And do you really have 2 inch marbles? Because thats pretty huge.

i think two inches would be restricting flow.. try 3-4 inches.

Am I one of the few non-dip-sh*ts left here? 5" PVC is uber rare, and Joel doesnt sell 5" supahs. This just goes to show the research you put into such a idea.

Anyways, the 2.5"-1.5" neighborhood looks good for the barrel size. Then the length of the chamber would determine the length of the barrel.

Benny, please dont post these 1-liner stupid interjections. No sh*t going to a smaller barrel will restrict flow. Although, were not dealing with a 100% efficiency valve.

What a d@mn good display of laziness this forum is becoming... ONE fricken person can hit the "shift" key. Stop the "Im a bum and I found this comp in the dumpster and I decided to come on here and post" posting. For people possessing weapons please show a little more discipline...

It's going to cost one buttload of cash. Why not just make your own for a whole lot cheaper than he'll charge?

Just a word of advice, don't let money burn a hole in your pocket. That thing will be at least $250, and it's just a valve. People are crazy just to buy a regular Supah too. I've seen posts on this forum that state the full cost of all parts of the Supah: ~$36.

lets not forget labor, normal machining hourly cost, 30-70 + dollars per hour, and if it takes joel 2 hours to assemble them, you're paying for his time, his work, and his craftsmanship

Yeah but technically you could build one for $36, considering you had the tools and everything.

oh no doubt i could, but the thing is, most places only sell PVC stock in 10ft lengths, which would cost an arm and a leg, and i doubt whoever made that list figured in shipping from various suppliers
