Well just thought of it thought i would put it out there. Comment, Criticize, whatever BRAH!!!

This is how it works you have a motor operating two pistons and one piston compresses air and replenishes the tank, on operates the "pneumatic switch" quote quote. So basically the "switch" is ran on the same principle as the steam engine. I know your saying "but crazy how is this a BBMG" well the motor drives it at a constant rate which can be adjusted. Of course the tank would have to be pre-pressurized the one piston would just "replenish the lost air. Oh yeah i think there might be a one way check valve to prevent any air from the tank coming back into the piston part.

Crazy!! I like it. But, can it replenish fast enough? With enough pressure? Keep in mind, steam creates a lot of pressure, while this is just inhaling air basically like a pump. Either way, it would probably at least extend your shooting time, while sacrificing ROF. LOL, that just made me think of something. What if you used a pneumatic motor for an AEG?!?!? It would kick a$$!!

by pneumatic motor do you mean like the ones found on impact wrenches? i happen to have 5 cheap aegs coming in the mail but i have a feeling a pneumatic motor would eat up their all plastic gearboxes pretty fast. well i might as well try it anyway....

haha took advantage of the "$2 airsoft barrels!" thread.........

i gotta be honest, i still have to post the FAGAR. its made out of my old airsoft shotty and a nerf gun valve. shoots aobut 200 FPS with a .2 but absolutely pisses bb's. it also has a good kick.... kinda fun. its really low on gas consupmtion too. with 2 chambers of 1.5 feet of 4 inch pipe at 120 PSI regulated down to 60, i can get off nearly 500 rounds............

sadly, 500 rounds in the thing is only 15 seconds

basically, what im trying to say is that there are other ways to acheive insane rates of fire without using as much gas as bbmg's do..........

i happen to have an old nerf gun i modified in my basement, its a 20 barrel Gatling gun, theres still a few problems to work out but its pretty insane. dont know what the air consumption is i have it connected to a 5lb regulated co2 tank. i would like to see your gun i have a feeling its got a more efficient valve then mine. please post it even if you haven't finished it or whatever.
