Hi,

A week ago: Split the female thread of my RainRird. Screwed it on too tightly. There´s 35 CHF gone. Finished repairing the cracked reducer/sleeve in my 50mm DFTV gun. It now seals again.

Day before yesterday: Tried out my 75mm piston valve with a small chamber, a sock as a projectile and the DSTV as pilot valve. Both pistons and the bolt (a 20 mm pipe) of the DSTV shattered; PVC bits and pieces were flying all around. Why does it do that?

Yesterday: Blasted a CDROM drive with the SEX Pistol. The pistol is too small to be fun; I now have returned it to its original use: Pilot valve, on the 75mm.

Tomorrow: Test shoot the 75mm. IT´s the larger of the 2 tees in my avatar. Reduced size chamber (need a whole day to get materials for the right chamber). Orange. 8 bar?

I wreck too many valves...

In The World of Spuds Today

The weather here on the east side of WA is been fairly good except with the wind going on today. The temperature is now holding above 50F during the day and is getting to be spudding season here very shortly. I have been working on my new co-axial advanced combustion as of late and am getting ready to start testing it soon. I am wondering of the true advantages of MAPP Gas over Propane. I know there is a greater temperature with MAPP Gas but is it really a noticeable difference. I've also been working on my bolt action tennis ball barrel which I'm getting ready to start testing, but have to go refill my 10lb CO2 tank.

Anyway thats all the news that new and improved brought to you by WA Spudders Association of WA.

In the world of spuds today....

The climate is finally warming up! A bit better than BigGrib's conditions. Mid 70's so far...and rising. Pleanty of sunshine. I can finally finish my cannons. I will try to have a couple test fires and see how it goes.

Here today it was hovering slightly above 0 Celcius most of the time, and the weather was a rather dense mix of rain, freezing rain, sleet, hail, and snow, in that order... Visibility was roughly 20 feet at noon.

but we did have some hail and freezing rain yesterday even though the temp was 52

but it didnt last an hour later the sun was shinig again.

Rain, sun, wind, overcast, clear blue skies, humid. We have four seasons a day here in Auckland. At least in the UK you know it's going to rain for the whole day

been kinda like that here exept not as extreme we have more like two seasons a day.
My dad mentioned it was NZ weather yesterday after it was done hailing and it was sunny out(Have I mentioned I used to live in NZ Im sure I have somewhere)

Psh, yesterday it was sunny and 70 outside, then a front came in, temp dropped to 45, thunderstorms and tornadoes. This morning I walked outside to 35 degrees and snow on the lawn.
