Eurocrisis hitting me hard...

That ..and my cheap Chinese bike that keeps giving me issues...
I feel the need to chop it up and fix it up the right way..

Asif Fybromialgia alone isn't enough to keep me away from spudding.
As that bike is my daily ( 3 days a week at least) ride I need to keep it running...not an easy task when your body doesn't feel like giving you a break...ever...

Back when I was benchpressing 200 kg's I could never have thought I would break down like this..
Figured I'd be shot dead long before my body would wear out.


Wish I had some money left to build at least some of the idea's I got...

I just watched "Doomsday Preppers" Nat.Geo.

got me thinking it would be cool to do another "Old Shat" so it is independant of basically all things provided by society.Just as a project-what would work best in a doomsday scenario.

All it will be used for in real life is plinking, probably just my usual couple of testshots after I loose interest.



It would need an all metal housing for the action, a pump and a breechloading mechanism that would allow me to load basically anything that fits.
Muzzleloading would probably be simplest.
Although that requires a ramrod..still thinking about that one..

Single shot, solid construction, muzzleloaded, external "flintlock"style hammer..integrated pump.
And as powerful as I can get it.

Something like that...

In real life, bullpup would probably be the best option but ...I like the old stuff.

I'll give it some more thought...keywords: dirtcheap, built to last, simple to use..

Hopefully I can finish my bike in the next couple of weeks and get back to my primary passion

ITWOST, think I got a good deal here:



$31NZD bought me: Empty CO2 bottle with a 300PSI input, 125PSI output gauge; slide valve; 330PSI rated hose with quick connects; and adapters for the CO2 tank.

Not sure why the person has a 300PSI reg on there, seems a bit dangerous. I might just use the fridgy to fill this up to 300PSI for use with some of my metal pneumatics or I might buy a paintball remote line and a proper regulator so I can take it up to 800PSI.

Fair enough mate im currently looking on ebay for some oxygen tanks but i dont know what fittings to get for it ? because F E have different threads to everything else ... not sure bout oxygen tanks

I guess you just have to be patient and wait for a good deal. Doubt you'll get a new, or good condition, oxygen/nitrogen/acetylene/CO2 FE tank for less than $150 but a few older ones pop up every now and then for about $50 in my experience. Things might be different over in Oz, but tanks rated for more than 300PSI seem to cost a shite load.

If you do find an oxy tank, I'd suggest checking that it is empty before buying it. My mate has an old oxy tank up at a farm, I got advice from a diving store clerk on how to empty it safely (put it in the middle of a field, open the valve and give it an hour) but my friend and I weren't so keen on the idea.

Oh right yeah Most Tanks that can hold more than 100 psi here are either made out of gold or they have different threads so you put any fittings on it so in aus it sucks so bad ...

When you were talking about the oxy tank and putting it in the field i thought you were getting at shooting at it so it would release pressure. (pretty quick) ...

Anyway thanks for the advice ... maybe if i look around a junk or metal yard i might find something, if not just steal it from some gas seller

Not bad for a 160€ gun I think, shooting 10 mm groups at 10 meter now, if I was a better shooter it'd be hole in hole
