the only thing that confuses me is, how can the piston seal, if its being filled up from the other end of the chamber??? Its not like the spring has that much power...
Edit: it is filled from the other end of the chamber in the mega launcher but it still isn't being filled from behind in the other ones, its being filled from the sides.

So, we'll spoonfeed vetrans but not newbies?
Well, that's a dumb idea if I ever heard one.
I might an animation of it, but don't count on it.
A series of stills is far more likely, though that may not come either.

hey, FUCK YOU!
I may be a noob but I have done my research, it seems as though that spring would have to be pretty tough to hold all that pressure while it seeps through that little equalization hole with a fucking rod through it. I am just trying to figure it out, IS THAT A CRIME?
AND I WOULD SAY A LOT MORE EXCEPT FOR THE DAMN CENSORING!
thank you boilingleadbath, at least some people have some class on this forum.

dude im not trying to start a fight but the valve works exactily like a sprinkler valve with a guide rod.
a 1 minute search on spudtech came up with a page of three perfeck flash animations showing how this works. and why do you doubt it works. it is one of the most powerful valves we know about. there are photos of it. o dont say you cant see how it works

i know it works and i have seen those animations, i know how a piston valve works, but this isn't an ordinary piston valve. Have you actually seen the valve shoot with your own eyes??? no? then you can't say for sure, can you? the only explination i can come up with is that the spring is pretty damn powerful because if you filled it up fast enough, the valve would push back and release the air. All the other pistons i've seen fill up from the rear so i was just wondering how this one could still keep a tight seal on the chamber while the pilot area is filling up.
ps. learn how to type before you call me a noob.

Why would he take his apart when there's already pictures of the insides?
And it is an ordinary chamber sealing piston valve, it was just precision machined by someone who knows his shit, which you obviously don't...
Re-do your research and them come back and try to convince us your smarter than us...

supahs are used on pretty damn big guns, the fill rate wont ever exceed the equalization rate

Steve,
You come on here and make assumptions and tell other people they what they know as fact is wrong. People who own a Spuah-Valve usually know how it works yet you, who dont have one, say you know more about it then they do. In your recent post (about identifing the pipe) you have shown you dont know what you are talking about. For example: you were not able to click your mouse button in two places to identify your pipe. You could have clicked "OTHER" then "Pipe Info" and fould that you had 3" Sch 40 pipe, and that it was in fact not "thice as thick as normal sch 40 pipe" as you put it.
So enough said. next time before you tell someone they are wrong do some research.
Thank you and Have A Nice Day

i must admit, it's pretty hard to see the "other" button
oh and i forgot to say: a little hole like that can leak a lot even with a rod... steve u are underestimating air
