Excellent, looking forward to it. One day I'll get started on the next long range projectile...

Don't worry it's practically guaranteed to work anyway.

Actually, you may have ignition troubles. I assume that by 7/100, you mean 0.070". If that is the case, your gap is just over 1/16" and at 16x would then require ignition and insulation to a 1" spark in atmospheric air.
If you meant 0.07mm, than damn, that's small!
In either case, you'll need a long barrel and a high propellant SOS to get the most out of that chamber.

Now we need to test how much acceleration this thing can take

Being so compact I would think it would be fine, especially if shielded in some padding. It would still not take kindly to being buried though, so a break-away tail is essential.

it is actually fairly easy to build a a directional antenna that can be used to locate transmitters
and no you don't need bluetooth and smartphones

yeah it might be but bluetooth for something so simple is an overkill
AFAIK it can be as simple as a loop antenna
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radio_direction_finding
don't ask me how to build a transmiter but I am sure duane or technician can post a schematic or at least mention where to find one
