Hey guys...

Im not shure if you guys have seen my older post, but I mentioned that I was planning to make and interchangle combustion chamber, So that different sized chamber can be changed, for different styles of shooting, I also asked around and it seems like that doing this is safe.

If you have any upcoming projects, feel free to try, as I am unaware of the changeable chambers causing any troubles yet

i am sorry i dont quite understand what you are trying to ask???

my combustion launcher has a 2" female thread in the chamber, from this i have got -

1- 2" male thread with plain 2" socket for 2" pipe

2- a 2" male thread -to- 2" male thread now this will take a 1.5" Pipe throught the middle giving me a breach load barrel!!!

"different styles of shooting"
Quiet vs. powerful?

Anyway, there is no reason not to have a few different chambers which attach to the barrel with the same [diameter] threads.

ah i see sorry my bad -

Why do you want to go to all that trouble?

you want to be thinking about C:B ratio - i.e. the ratio between the volume of the chamber to the volume of the barrel!!!

the optimum C:B ratio for power is 1.5:1 or near as - that means the chamber must be 1.5 times larger than tha barrel!!

if you want the thing to be louder the easiest way is to have a second barrel shorter in length - this will make it louder and less acurate and not travel as far.

Check out http://burntlatke.com/

He has loads of info on ratios and tesat loads of barrel length very informative

A bigger chamber will give you more preformace for a given barrel. To get quiet opperation out of such a chamber, you'd have to have a obnoxiously lowh barrel; an easy fix is to have a small chamber. While it's not going to be as powerfull, there are situations where you are forced to use a quiet cannon.

One may also point out that the 1.5:1 Vratio (for max power/length) will only apply for linear desins, and will vary between them (if both the chamber and barrel are the same diameter, for instance, the desired Vratio is about .8:1 [simplistic GGDT modle])

I have a small 2" cannon and I can changed the length of the combustion chamber by just screwing in another section of chamber and then follow with the end or clean out cap . Is this the kind of thing you are talking about? Seems like a good plan to me but I don't know if you can get the kind of piece you need when you go above 2".

yea, exactly what I am talkin about tater, yea, i have about 6 inches of 4.5" chamber, So they dont make any above 2 "?????

I guess ill just but 4.5" pipe and add adapters to them, easy as that
