Hi, Im new here. I made a new mini gun because my dad wont let me make the actual potato guns. I used a gatorade all star bottle as the chamber (its about 3 by 5.5 inches) and I used the handle end of a wiffle ball bat which is about 6 by just over 1 inch. I used a bicycle inner tube to wrap around the bat to make it big enough to fit snugly into the back of the bottle. I use AXE body spray as fuel. I wrapped a few layers of clear packaging tape around it because I was board. I used the sparker from a long nose grill lighter for the ignitor. I havent shot it yet because I was afraid that the gatorade bottle might be too weak and explode. What do you guys think?

naah. go ahead just wonderin is the bat the handle? if i does rupture it wont be an issue. you would just have to scrap it for parts

I tried using it, my friend came over and we tried in the back yard. The bat handle is the barrel. It is rifled a little bit, its how the bat came. I used a marble that fits loosely in the barrel. The only problem I had was there wasnt enough power with the AXE. The marble only went about 5 feet. It worked better when I shoved a kleenex in first. I heard the marble hit the fence but couldn't see how fast it was going because of the darkness. Anyway, what else can I use, other than AXE, for something that small?

There's 90% of your problem. Using kleenex as wadding would help, I suppose. One smaller projectile that I've found works well is apples. My friend and I ran out of potatoes today, so we ransacked the kitchen and got some apples. They worked well for my full size gun, and I'd imagine they could work for a mini gun. My friend likes using apples as ammo because usually half of the apple will break off and he'll eat it.

I really want to make a full sized one, but as for now I am stuck with this. I haven't had a chance to fire this with any good ammo, any suggestions for ammo? I dont have any apples or potatoes.

make a small pnuematic, with a 3/4 barrel..small so ur dad wont be worried but yet they pack a punch, use a simple ball valve 2 start and move onto a modded sprinkler and if u do make it use sch 40,but if u must have ur combustion just use your barrel as a cutter and cut slugs out of apples or potatos should work alot better then the marbles that 4 sure.

I've seen members post the use of batteries for ammo. I'm guessing they used dead ones, it would get exspensive to use good ones. Pieces of wooden dowl would also work. Let us know how it goes. Good luck !

Try useing cheap hairspray, Whiterain, spraypaint, WD-40, and i thinkyour Dad shold help make one with you so he knows what is going on and he can try it to. Get some pictures of them and some writings about how people have had so much fun with them. Good luck
