I shall assume you are talking about sch 40.

Ping pong balls are 40 mm (about like the fit of a golfball in sdr21) and can be filled with anything from water to sand to concrete.

Using paper towel tubes you can make pretty effective paintball shotgun rounds or other saboted rounds.

If looking for true range or destructive power, use a couple inch piece of extra barrel pipe, line it with something like tp tube or denim or other fabric, then pour concrete in and let it set for 12 hours. The cardboard or denim will make it release from the tube and protect your barrel from scratches. VERY destructive, far flying rounds.

There are lots of things. Making your own ammo can be very rewarding.

Or somehow try and fit poop into a ping pong ball. It would be like paintball except it's crap instead. I just made up a new game anyone want to try it out? 8)

I've been using ~1/2 pound of 3/8" ball bearings wrapped in tinfoil. Might not be suitable for low powered launchers though...
