Yes, Hubb017, I have shot a potato: I've shot potato's(big russets) with real bullets & shot, I've even launched giant, and I mean GIANT Russet potato's from a combustion canon that has a 19 1/4" x 27' chamber, using regulated mapp gas (potato went through two sheets of 3/4" subflooring stood on edge,glued &screwed together, and placed/ attached to a stnd that was 5 1/2" from our back fence), 75 -80 feet from our back door(depends on if you want to say where we stood or where the spud was in the canon) said spuds went through the osb subflooring, kept going, through the 5/8" cedar fence that was only about 3 years old then, and we never did find any substantial carcass to speak of.
Yeah, I've shot spud's, soft and hard and frozen hard...in fact, we were gonna replace the old back door to the garage w/ a more modern steel door, so-oh-oh-oh, you know what we did with the frozen spud...that one is on an aging video tape! Good thing nobody was standing outside by that old mortise and tenon raised-panel door! There's something to be said for living next door to the state famous for potato's!
