well, depending on how mast you want to reload, regualr 12Ga shotgun shells wtih the primer knocked out fit pretty good in 3/4" pvc, but reload time isnt great if i remember correctly, they hold about 70 airsoft bbs if you use 2 pieces of toliet paper as wadding

what kind of launcher did u plan on making? do u want the pressure source to be built into the launcher or do u want it to be built in each individual cartridge? i'm planin on doin the same thing but using combustion. less moving parts and super simple concept. the focus is mostly on the building and the loading of the cartridges. the trigger system is a givin (pretty obvious). pretty great concept for a shotgun type launcher..

Check sporting goods stores. Some of them sell reloading components.
You're looking for 12ga hulls, not cartridges.
Alternatively, you may find some once fired hulls at your local range.

I'm currently building a bolt action rifle that takes 9cm long 1in dia cartridges. Once I found the paper-and-flour slugs were a friggin pain to make (got three of them) I made a few shot shells. Pretty easy, really. Make a tiny cup outta paper, and fill it with BB's. Put it in the top of the pipe you intend to use, and cover the end with a paper circle. Stuff the empty space behind the cup with really any wadding you want. Tape up that end, load it in your gun, and have a buddy throw a few AOL discs in the air. Have fun!
