Regulator for PVC Tank Pressuring

I'm thinking about building a pneumatic air gun, using an air compressor plugged into the pvc air tank, with a regulator to adjust the pressure of the pvc tank. Would this work? If I unplugged the air compressor from the regulator would the pvc tank discharge?

Here is the regulator I was going to use:

Then I was going to use this with it to hook up the air hose from the air compressor:

Compressor regs don't always regulate to what you expect :D It happened to me :x

Also notice that reg only has an input of 300 if your trying to reg co2 or something dont use that...

Most air compressors can only handle 125psi so you don't really need a reg just buy a gauge and look at it while your filling...

If you do put on a reg you will need to put it together like this
