What pressure do they rupture at? I was thinking about using some aluminum cans for burst disks (obviously cutting the disks out) and seeing if that would help increase the pressure and velocity of my mortar. I just need to know what pressure they burst at, and if they need a spike to burst them.

They do not need a spike to rupture but, in order to give a estimate we need to know the diameter.

3/4" and 2". Mostly 2", but I may use them in my 3/4" noob tube.

the smaller the diameter means you need a higher pressure for the same burst disk material...
so like foil tape will burst at a different pressure on 3/4 than it would on 1.25.. smaller diameter = more pressure needed because of surface area and other more complicated physics.

Thats fine, the rating I have for it is at 480 psi so I can achieve 200 psi without it blowing up with no prob. I just need to know what would work the best, for power and distance for my mortar. I can only get it to about 40 psi till it pops with foil tape, and I need alot more. When my dad gets home tonight he is bringing a dremel, and I will sand down one side of the coupler so I can have more layers.

at 3/4 inch i bet you would need a lot of pressure, my guess is at least 150.

A single layer of photo paper can take over 75 psi in my 3/4" hybrids, I reckon aluiminium sheet can take a bit more than that to burst...

Ok. Well I will be testing soon, maybe tonight. I will let you guys know the results. Oh and I tried grocery bags, and I fractured my 2 inch coupler thats how powerful it was. I guess I got a few new ones...

I can tell you, a soda can burst disc in a 1/2" union won't burst @ 8x with my hybred if not scored in some way.
So...3/4" is bigger, i guess less pressure then....but hey, i think you're good to at least 400 psi.
For that 2" one....100 psi? maybe less

i made a to pneumatic burst disc just lots of noise, had no barrel but with roughly a 20mm port alu cans sides where bursting at just under 200
