IPEX Solvent Cements ONLINE Course can be found here:

http://www.ipexinc.com/Content/Registra ... Code=en-CA

It is recommended that you download and read both the Solvent Cementing Guide, and the Solvent Cements Catalouge before taking the test. (Both of these will require Adobe Acrobat Reader) -although, the Solvent Cements Catalogue really isn't required for the tesr -I think that they just wanted to show you their line of Solvent Cements...which is O.K. by me, because I see that they carry a Reactive Adhesive that "Bonds PVC and CPVC to dissimiliar materails such as metals, concrete, clay, and others."

It is also required that you have Macromedia FLASH Player v. 4 to run the course.

After obtaining the Solvent Cements cataloguue, you can REGISTER with the site (I made up a bogus company name), and after you click submit, it'll automatically bring you to a "pre-quiz" page.

And here's the Gort part of the post:

I took this course last year and learned A LOT. Upon completion, IPEX sends you a nifty certificate and a pen in the mail which you can proudly hang on your wall like I did. :P You guys should all take this course whether you have been doing this for years or not. In fact, I wont even take you seriously on here until you can prove to me that you passed this thing.

Edited by jrrdw, Ipex link updated.

This sounds like an alright thing. I have nothing to do until I get my information on things so I may use this as a time filler (reading part) then take the test when I am done the reading portion.

I was delighted to read that IPEX solvents should not be used on pipes being used for, or tested with, compressed air or gas!!!!

Hey CT, Yeah they posted mine to New Zealand, I completed mine early september, the certificate was signed in October 26th and it arrived early November. So they take longer to sign the certificate then to post it from Canada.
