Really? I heard Burst disks are the fastest because they dont constrict flow, Give a barrel sized flow and open in 1 milisecond (once it bursts, It bursts  )

A burst disk(depends on size)Is one fo the most if not the most powerful valve. They have nearly no open time and very high flow. While the supah is a chamber sealing piston valve and if you were to have the same size port as the supah valve but a burst disk valve it would be very powerful, more powerful then the piston supah valve.

Well, when you say "better" I think of 2 things mostly: Power and Practicality.

Burst disks, if actuated correctly and with a big enough diameter, can easily outdo a Supah in power. But with practicality in mind, I'd rather use a Supah any day over a disk that needs to be replaced after every shot manually.

I agree completely with Gort. Burst disks become a pain in the ass; now you need to load a projectile AND a disk.

If you are having a competition and going for raw power, the burst disk would be the obvious choice. However, I personally do not like burst disk cannons (no offence); piston valves are just fricken awesome

Reloading a burst disk isn't a big deal when you realize how cheap and powerful the 'valve' is. If it really bothers you, attach your disk to the valve, and load them all as one.

How about a burst disk in front of a supah? Open the supah, then the burst disk -busrt. A little more safe, easy to aim.

How is it safer? The valve is still going to have to open, and will constrict flow.
But ya it would be easier to aim. Supah's are loud enough.

Problem with that daveo, is that the disk will burst before the other valve is compleatly open.
I'd look into triggered burstdisks (look it up on the spudwiki). (technicaly a cascade failure burstdisk system, I think)

Ya what if the disk burst at lets say 60 psi, when the chamber is fileld to 100.
Basically you have no gain in power.

yes you do, you are able to fill the chamber to 100 psi, but you first must put 50 psi in the 2nd chamber this equalizes the pressure and lets you use more.

...unless you where to put a pressure regulator between the chamber and the "pilot volume"... with a flow restrictor.
