We have a saying where i live goes like this, "Your only breaking the law if you get caught" ! But for real, check with your city/state ordenance to find out for sure. Go to your goverments website, you can figure it out from there.

I can't remember where I checked, but I read somewhere about firearms and it specifically stated that "spud guns" were illegal (or something along those lines). Obviously you will get in trouble if you're caught using one, so keep it to your back yard.

even if they are legal chances are if your shooting them in public the cops will ask you to bugger off,but in New Zealand accross the ditch from you guys combustions are 100% illegal whereas pneumatics are classed as air rifles so as soon as im 18 im all good with the law.

There illegal in queensland, I think combustion, dunno about pneumatic. I talked to a couple of copas about this last year, they said it was fine, unless you actuall plan on using it. I was like " hmm sorta defeats the purpose" Then I asked if I never took it off my property and never used in any wrong way if it was fine, They hung up, lol. Freekon police hotline.

Just don't put yourself in a position to have to worry about it.
Don't fire/openly carry it in potential view of people you don't know and don't shoot out of sight.
The last one is a firearm thing I read, you're basically meant to know where your projectile will stop as opposed to just guessing theres no one walking their dog in that wood you just launched a frozen potato into at 600fps.
