I finally got a compressor!
It's 5 gallon, 3 horsepower, 115 psi, twin stacked tanks, and pumps really fast. It can fill up to 115 psi in less than a minute (I actually used a stopwatch). It also came with a 17 piece set with 7 male QCs, 2 females, a blowgun, a 25 foot hose, a schrader valve adapter, a couple blowgun nozzles, and some other stuff. And here's the best part: it was all for 90 bucks, well actually 97 something with tax, but who cares? Now I'll be able to make something bigger than a pneumatic with a 1/2 gallon compression chamber.

I wish I could say the same. I got a dumb little 2 gallon compressor with 1hp. It takes about 5-10 minutes to get itself to 100 psi. Much longer in order to get a gun to that kind of pressure. 100 psi is it's max too, or rather it shuts off at 100psi. It's motor could probably get it higher but it has an electrical saftey shutoff or something. I forgot to mention it's hose has a hole in it too so it won't even get to 100psi right now.

Where'd you get a compressor for that price? Ebay?

last year, for my birthday ( I forgot which) I got a nice 25 gallon, 6.f cfm at 40 psi, 4.5 cfm at 90 psi compressor that goes to 155 psi.
that is cool. compressors are so nice, everyone should have one.

I got it at Kragen (yep, unbelievable, that place is usually sooo expensive). There was a 22 gallon one for only 50 DOLLARS, but my mom said that thing was too damn big. Oh well, you can't win 'em all. I got a good deal anyway. They had the same thing at OSH (usually cheap) for $130. And they had a 3 gallon 1 hp one for $100, with no goodies included.

The only one I have is a stupid car one...
Well hayseed, if you ever feel generous....lol jk
Hoping to get one for Christmas, but probably won't (a little tight $$)
Is there a way to make one with a lawnmower engine?

I'd give you one, but you might as well just buy a new one, because It'd cost that much just to ship one from Canada, and the farm kinda needs all 4 (except for the stupid car one, which, conveniently, is built into the stupid car!)
I'm not shure about a lawnmower engine, but I've heard about people talking a 4 cylinder gas or diesel engine and turning one or two of the cylinders into compressor cylinders, (I imagine that't move a lot of air)
You could probly do that with any engine with more than 1 cylinder (or two lawnmower engines with the shafts attached) Ya know?

Thats sweet I'm thinking about getting one to fill up my new pnuematic because the one I have is like 1/2hp I'm thinking about this one thats 3hp 4 gal and only 70 bucks at pep boys. I'm assuming yours isn't a name brand compressor which I found is what makes them cost so much.
The biggest coaxial ever will be made by me, now that I have a steady income and a 20 foot long piece of 8" PVC in my backyard. And now I have a compressor instead of a bike pump.
Now I have 4 too, this new one plus 3 of the car ones. I actually managed to get one of those to pump all the way to 60 psi once, and it didn't even break!

I think you should make a 6" coaxial piston valve cannon with that 8" pipe. It should be able to do some pretty decent pumpkin chunkin' with that.
