I think as a community, we would greatly benefit from more quality how-to articles. Also those of us willing to dedicate our time to writing articles, need to know which articles you the user would like to see. So in short what articles would you like to see?

[Please take you time on these articles. Compose your text based content in a clear, nice fashion. Include pictures with sufficient quality. Taking pictures in a clean area, or backdrop. Ill in the future possibly elaborate on what you as a author can do to make your articles 'better'. Ive also considered some way to denote, and set off 'quality' articles.]

Below I will list suggested articles. If someone has already mentioned a article and you would like to see a article on it, second it so that we can tell which articles are popular. Essentially I will list all users that would like to see a particular article. I will somehow also designate articles that have been written. Feel free also to suggest articles that currently 'suck'. This is a bit sketchy, but we will let it build upon itself.

How-To articles at the request of the members:

Soldering brass piping/ fittings
-[Pimpmann22]
Using spud related calculators/ programs
-[MrCrowley]
New to this forum
-[Jrrdw][MrCrowley]

The building part is pretty well covered between spudfiles and spudwiki. Me inparticular i have problems with figuring the ratio's, area and related type of math to use the online tools and calculators with accurate results.
Example: GGDT, i put in all the numbers as close as i could, and the results were a super ball wasn't going to clear the mussel. Wrong, they come out so fast, you can't see them until they bounce off something 60yrds away. So maby some menu's, tables, or a link directly to that infomation.

How about a how to on “how not to get blown up, fragged, or burned”? or a how to on “how to tell the difference between DWV and NSF-PW” or “how to tell when your to drunk or dumb to use a spud gun” or “how to make pistons with out a lathe”?

And how about a special section where those of us which are not offended by the very mention of hunting can display are home-made hunting arms, and successfully hunts, with out offending people? That would be good for every one, those who don’t like hunting don’t have to read the topics, those of us that do enjoy the tradition can show off are successes, both arms and quarry, with out offending others. Plus that would make Spudfiles the only, to my knowledge at least, spud gun forum that allows such talks.

yes, the hunting one would be good, but you would need to have a rule that it cannot be with a potato cannon, some ppl call it "inhumane"...with the power of these guys its more "humane" than a headshot with a highpowered rifle

how about a "beginners guide to cellular core hybids, covered in metal bb's!" (jk)
There are rules, and then there are hundred dollar bills.

I think that as long as your taking varmint nobody cares. You can’t tell me, with out lying, that shooting them with a marble traveling at 600+FPS is less humane than a BB at 300+FPS, and even if the marble was only doing 300FPS it’ll still have more kinetic energy than a steel BB at the same velocity.

I’m going to ask a question that is slightly off topic: why is it that people can use all the fowl language they want, which offends me, but I can’t talk about hunting? You mean to tell me you rather us swear than talk about a time honored tradition that feed the hungry! (For proof on that Google “FHFH”.)

And let keep it serous, A-98.

The reason it isn't appropriate to discuss hunting here is becasue this is a- get this- spudgun forum! :o If you want to talk about something other than that, go to a forum aimed specifically toward your hobby, or a general discussions forum, such as theopia.com

On a side note, you need not be offended by words- they are just words. It is the fuc</i>kin' meaning behind them that you should consider.

BC pneumatics,
This may be a spud gun forum, but people also make there own small caliber arms, I.E. BBMGs, marble MGs, and these so called “snipers” (which still doesn’t make since.), which can be and are used for hunting, I.E. the reaper rifle by Experamint-u2. Now when Experamint-u2 discussed his successful hunts it offended a few of are fellows, to avoid such offences we could have a special section on hunting arms, home-made of course, so that discussion of the use of such arms could go on with out offending are fellows. If I wanted to talk about hunting in general I would go to another forum, but I wish to talk about home-made hunting arms, and the use of such devises. Now if I’m not to be offended by the “words” of others, why can’t I talk about hunting straight out, say I were to make a .50cal airgun (in layman’s terms, a marble “sniper”) and took a squirrel with it, if I were to tell people about that I would offend people, would I not? (But it’s just words, right? So there for they should not be offended as I should not be offended when people use crude language.)
Now why can’t there be a special section for “home-made hunting arms”? All I’m doing is trying to make a compromise, I wish to talk and hear about hunting with home-made arms with out offending those of my fellows that abhor hunting.

But then again I could be the only one here that wishes to discus such things…

And more on subject, I if people want I could do a how to on using Coke bottles, I’ve come up with an ingenious why of attaching the, both permanently and removable.
