I was wondering what you guys think about this plan (I've searched around and found nothing). But i'm sure someone has done this before.
All it is is 2 barrels attached with a Y-connector and 2 ball valves, so that the barrel size can be chosen without unscrewing the entire barrel
i'm kinda a newb to Potato Cannons (i have made 1.5" combustion cannon), so your comments would be helpful

idk, that would be a little wierd if u ask me, its all about what u like tho, so go for it..
1. matt, please use proper grammer, sorry but it bugs me.
2. yes it would work, but you would only have one shot, but if thats what makes you happy then do it.
3. there is no such thing as a Y connector. you can use two elbows and a tee, but no Y connector. there are some, but they are shaped kinda funny and will not hold pressure.

I took the liberty of correcting your own grammar, practice what you preach!hi wrote:1. Matt, please use proper grammar, sorry but it bugs me.

It'll work, just don't use a PVC wye, unless the main valve is before the barrel split. I made one like this a while ago; the top barrel was paintball sized and the lower one was for C batteries.
Hi, seeing as you misspelled "grammar" and didn't capitalize or put the apostrophe in "that's," don't be hypocritical.

True, but they make pressure rated tees and elbow fittings.MrCrowley wrote:They don't make Pressure Rated PVC wye's im pretty sure.
I think that the idea is impractical, but cool. I think it would be better if you used two equal sized barrels, and one valve. Use an oversized chamber, that is calculated for the size of two small barrels instead of one large one. That would be so awesome!! I think I just might make a double-barrel shotgun this summer. Thanks for the inspiration!
