Spudfiles has been down a lot lately...I guess I don't check in quite as often as some of you, but my heart did sink earlier when I couldn't log in...I was all out of excuses for not doing my research paper...

I'm sorry, I guess I must say that my webhost just sucks. I've had no part of any of the recent outages (very few of them ever in fact) I am usually the one fighting to keep it online. Usually when things go down, I have access to my virtual server control panel to reset the server however this time I could not access it nor did my host respond very quickly so I was left sitting in the water.
SpudFiles could really use a dedicated server.

How much do you need for that?
I'm all ready to donate if this fixes the downtimes.

If you were being redirected anywhere, that was due to the way your browser is setup. When "down", SpudFiles will usually display a timeout message, or a database error.
A dedicated server is $100/month with a $100 setup fee. I can not afford this so right now I am on a much cheaper virtual dedicated server package. I am at the very limits of this package however, and to upgrade to the next package will run me $70/month (and that's only if I pay for an entire year upfront).

There has been a Donation box on the left side of SpudFiles ever since I started it. It's how people get the status of Donating Member. Few have donated.

That's $940.00 up front, sizable chunk of change. Maybe some rich member will come along and be very generous.

I would donate if I could, but I'm only 13 and I don't have a major income. But if this site is still up when I get my debit/credit card, I would be more than glad to donate.

I donate my time and effort
As much as I would love to donate so we could upgrade to a better server, i'm saving for a trip to Europe and the funding is pretty damn tight.
