i was on the forum and clicked on a thread and got a server error, there was a link there and when i clicked it this is what i got.

The requested document is totally fake.
No /asdfghjkl here.
Even tried multi.
Nothing helped.

I feel really bad to tell you this.
But there's no such file here.
I'm really depressed about this.
You see, I'm just a web server...
-- here I am, brain the size of the universe,
trying to serve you a simple web page,
and then it doesn't even exist!
Where does that leave me?!_

How should I know what you wanted from me?
You honestly think I can *guess*
what someone I don't even *know*
wants to find here?
*sigh*
I'm so depressed I could just cry.
And then where would we be, I ask you?
It's not pretty when a web server cries._

What kind of a life is that?
Two weeks,
and then I'll be replaced by a .01 release,
that thinks it's God's gift to web servers,
just because it doesn't have some tiddly little
security hole with its HTTP POST implementation,
or something.
I'm really sorry to burden you with all th_

Figures, huh?
Two weeks of information overload,
and then *pffftt*, consigned to the trash.
What kind of a life is that?
Now, please let me sulk alone.
I'm so depressed.
Please go back home...

You upset SpudFiles! :-(

Hah but really, you know how on other web pages you can get a message that says "Can not find web page"? Well that is my version of that...

I think the server was having some issues earlier, it seems to be OK now.

at least you get a "friendly" error. i usually get

Code: Select all

Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: User spudfile_pcguy has already more than 'max_user_connections' active connections in /home/spudfile/public_html/forums/db/mysql4.php on line 53
phpBB : Critical Error

Could not connect to the database
but that just means
One means of limiting use of MySQL server resources is to set the max_user_connections system variable to a non-zero value. However, this method is strictly global, and does not allow for management of individual accounts. In addition, it limits only the number of simultaneous connections made using a single account, and not what a client can do once connected.
this only seems to happen on a sunday, middle of the morning.

does this mean more people are surfing spudfiles than going to church?

I got the "too many users" message from 8:00AM to about 4:00PM today (central time I think)
The depressed server I had gotten multiple times when I tried to look at a thread (forget who started it) complaining about noob hazing. I think the author might have done that deliberately since somone else also experienced this odd link.
