This here is a BreechLoading Pneumatic Cannon.
It was designed specifically for launching Pocket Vortex Nerfs from an enclosed/confined Paintball Tank.
All of the filling and firing controls and Nerf loading had to be close by and accessible , easy to use.

(for those who live in caves and under rock, the Pocket Vortex Nerf is the approved round for eliminating (killing) a Paintball Tank during a game).

Irritrol 1" valve, with Flow Control. Using the valves "with Flow Control" allows you to pull out the flow adjuster guts and tap for 1/4npt threads, real easily.

100psi pop-safety valve. 160psi gauge.
Valterra 2" Gate Valve for the breech.

It eventually got a nice pistol grip blowgun trigger (not pictured).

Can be used with compressed air or Co2.

Air Chamber was 3" PVC @ approx. 4 feet long.
2 inch Bore, about 4.5 feet long.

At 60 psi it would chrono a foam Pocket nerf at about 280fps.
(Most fields limit the Nerfs to 250fps or lower, for safety).
(Yes, we have a PB radar chrono)

This one isn't my first cannon, nor my last.
It now belongs to someone in NY.

I added another pic, as you requested.

Sorry for the cut-out look of the pics, but I gotta get the file sizes reduced so they will accepted by the size monster.

I'll post some more of my creations, (yes there is more) , but only if they take that "Private" Rank off of my profile.

I'll take Gunnery Sargeant, thanks.

Valterra 2" Gate Valve for the breech. Made of PVC, so it glues right on.
They use these for the waste holding tanks on RVs.
(Dump valves).

This one has O-ring seals and is rated for 50psi, max.
But since it isn't on the pressurized side, no biggie, even if it leaked, a little, it would only be for the duration of the shot.

The best thing is that the breech valve seals are replaceable.

I have to say, I've never seen it used this way before, so,
for now, I'll claim it as my original idea.

They also are used to shut off water to a pool filter. I've had a couple of those break on me.

Very nice gun, and really slick paint job!

Thanks, I had one of them break on me, but it was on my RV trailer, hit a big rock or something underneath the trailer.

I would only use them on a pneumatic cannon, running relatively lower pressures, no high pressure stuff.

I have used them now on 3 Air Cannons, with no problems, no leaks, no cracks, etc.
My Max pressure is typically 100psi with these types of Cannons.
Typically more in the 50 to 75psi range.

I'm strictly a 2" bore maker, for Nerfs and Paintball usage.

My current personal cannon has the breech loading valve.
It did something pretty amazing, and pretty scary, at 65psi I test fired a Foam Pcoket vortex Nerf through a Paintball Safety net at a distance of about 75 feet. Clean through it. Nice round 2" hole.

So much for safety at the Paintball field.

Well, of course, with safety in mind  I wanted to see what it would do approaching 100psi. Fired another Pocket Vortex Nerf.
It ripped the fins off of the Nerf in Mid-air, about 40 feet from the muzzle.
I learned something that day, Pocket Vortex Nerfs may be very aerodynamic, but they are limited by air resistance.

Lastly, it's even harder to find a little nerf, downrange, when the fins are missing.

"I ain't got time to bleed!"

[21:47 PM] [Double-Post]
Sorry for second post in a row, but think about it, the movie Predator contains two future State Governors, Jesse Ventura and Arnold.

[22:04 PM] [Triple-Post]
To beebs:
I'm not posting anymore pics, any other Cannons, or other original ideas until someone changes my rank to Gunnery Sargeant.

Help me out with this small request, and I'll post vids, ideas, more cannons, the works.

Did I mention the Air Powered Mines set off by pressure plates?
Step on them, and POW!!

NOTE FROM PIMPMANN22: HOLY SH*T!, its a damn name!!! You want your rank changed, but meanwhile you triple post? In fact I dont even know how you change the rank name, but if I did I would still not change. Yea, your cannons are sweat, but please dont come on hear demanding sh*t!

Fine, PIMPMANN22 , Be that way.
This seems to be a very unhelpful place. Lots of rules, very little compassion.

I didn't demand anything, just trying to have a little fun with some people asking for more pics, humor, which is obviously lost in here.

Lot's of rules here. huh?
Each post was answering someone's question, geesh!!
I even made a statement saying I was sorry for the additional post.

I've been a moderator many times before, I understand keeping a place clean. i also find that it is typically not the rules that cause problems, it's the enforcement and how it is handled.

The forums I ahve moderated don't allow substitution of a * for a swear word, yet, in here the Mods do it? HOLY F*CK!!

So, I guess this qualifies as a Quadruple Post, take that!!
I guess i am suppsoed to [edit] instead of making another post, thanks for the help on MY FIRST DAY IN HERE! (oh no, I used ALL CAPS).
Another heinous offence!

Very simply, you could have said, "Hey, I hear you, but we don't know how to change rankings," or they are automatic, which was my assumption, in the first place.

Are you trying to encourage knowledgeable people to post here?
Or simply beat them down when you get a chance?

I would have PM'd this to you, but you didn't do me the same courtesy , so here it is, in public.

Wow, unbelievable.

If this is how you welcome people and how you handle forum related issues, I'm outta here.

No sir, I will not turn this into a free for all, it's more of a misunderstanding.

Nothing to see here, move along.
