'cos all railway stuff is in Imperial isn't it? I've yet to come across something that is in Metric in the model railway world...

Dunno, the admin wouldn't let me on with Himszy so I used this one instead.

SpudYeti,

Not really - he does railways, I don't (can't stand them I prefer more "manly" projects that require welding and stuff :D )

We do.

I will look here in "land-of-metric" for whether its Imperial or metric; but Im guessing Imperial because its all imported probably.

I wonder why admin wouldnt let you have that name?

I guess making a real train could be manly :D

Well if I dont include all the f*&$ups with the fittings, getting the wrong size etc and i dotn include the tools,

bout 180 quid with pipestock and he sent me a cheque for 48 to cover the spark strip, misc hardware and the barrels.

It will cost quite abit more caus i got the proper ignition to do (the spark box on the gun at the moment is my one) and i got the fan controller and the metering.

cool but am I the first to notice that you used sch80 on an arosol powered pneumatic sound like over kill to me why? I hear you don't get much option in the UK for parts, are you planning to one day make it a hybrid?

we dont do our pipe in SCHs but its 10bar (145psi) chamber, and 16 bar (232psi) for the fittings and barrel.

Its not actualy going to be aerosol powered when its done, im going to use propane metering.

We can get the parts easily but its very expensive, the fittings on that gun topped 200 quid... (400 dollars)
