I was looking through youtube today and found a video of a igniter. I was going to use it but had problems finding the fire button on the camera board. Where does the firing button connect to?
thank you in advance.

you dont need to use the firing button I believe. I think you can just hook the switch right up to the flash control, making your new switch the firing button.
Also keep in mind that if you are oging to use this as a ignition source inside of your combustion cannon then before you add the gases to your chamber, you are going to have to insert something for the camera flash to burn in order to light the gases in your chamber. Example: the guy in the vid hooked up steel woll the produce the flash. The gases in your chamber won't ignite with a camera flash without something for the camer flash to ignite, after the flash ignites that osmething example: steel wool, the steel wool will ignite the gases inside your chamber. On a normal camera flash, the flash is from the light bulb, and a light bulb inside your chamber won;t do anyhting. Thats were the steel wool comes in replacement of the light bulb. Becuase steel wool is metal, and not consealed, when the steel wool flashes it will ignite the gases inside your cannon. That means you have to weld or somehoe solder a clamping pin inside of your chamber, and before each shot you will have to put steel wool clamped into the pins, before adding gases to the chamber.
Personaly I would going with a BBQ or Stun gun ugnitor which is much more simple, afftective and easy to use. Although your idea is a great, one you have ot be up to all the preparation and work to do it. But give it a try thats a good idea, im sure only a few people know about.You can try and devolpe that idea. GOOD LUCK!!!

@pimp,
Look on our Wiki, and around the Forum, there's lots of great info about using camera flash circuits for ignition.

If you read what it says on that video he said he just connected a peice of steel wool in between the two wires. So that wouldn't work for a spud cannon unless you wanted to keep replacing the peice of steel wool.
