Hey guys,
Not sure where to post this but here goes!
I have made this gun with a ramset powder actuated nail gun. I fires 8mm ball bearings and uses a .22 caliber charge.
I am wanting to make a silencer for it but still trying to design and fully learn the rules and principles of them.
Thanks Guys

i dont think if this is allowed becuase it uses solid propellant (gunpowder), double check with the mods

The gun is effing sweet , but I would advise against building a silencer. Go check out "The Fuzz Sucks" Thread in Non-Spudgun Related Discussion. The rules for silencers, real or homemade, at least in the U.S., is that they are illegal.

Search how to make a silencer, otherwise you will get flamed i think.
Not by me but by other members
Edit: You need a longer barrel, and yes i do believe that solid propellants are not allowed

He's still using the power from it to launch a ball.Blackett wrote:Yup that looks like a gun, and works like one to, but it looks like a blank.
It's still a firearm.
I'm surprised a mod hasn't deleted this.
But it looks cool and i hope it works well for you.

Poo.
The gun is nice but it is still illegal (and against forum rules). I'm wondering why it has been showcased as long as it has.
It is a blank. A blank bullet. Or it could be ratshot. Either way, it still contains solid propellants (which is against forum rules), classifying this thing as a firearm (making it illegal without a serial number).Yup that looks like a gun, and works like one to, but it looks like a blank

Interesting creation, however this is VERY illegal, and VERY dangerous!
You have created an illegal firearm, not a spud cannon.
I will have to close this thread.
Also TwitchTheAussie, solid propellents can not be discussed here since it when used they are (by law) a firearm, no longer a spud cannon. It may be different in your country, but this site is based in the USA and those are the laws here. Sorry.
