Dad said I didn't rough the PVC enough for the glue I was trying to stick well.
I'm going to try GOOP tomorrow, it says right on the tube it's a sealant. It's what we used on the pop bottle tanks all those years ago.
I had to change the springs anyway, the original ones were too strong.

The Amazing Goop held. The new piston face didn't get blown into the barrel port.
I fired it into my hand at 40 PSI and it felt like a high five. Valve empties the chamber in less than half a second.

yeah when you dry fire a piston valve into your hand if feels like something quite solid hitting you hard. that concentrated pressure wave shows the valve is releasing the pressure all at once, thats great. what are you going to be building off of this valve?

It's currently just an upgrade to the sprinkler valve that was on the metal cannon in my avatar, it's now this new valve's pilot.
I wonder now if it was the rubbing alcohol I cleaned the parts with that made it work this time. Maybe skin oils prevented the first glue from sticking properly.
