Adding a burst disc would have very little effect on increasing the pressure spike in a normal combustion

Would using a 4" chamber vs. a 3" chamber effect performance? For example using a 4", 12" long chamber instead of a 3", 24 " long one.

I think a burst disk is useful on combustions wich are long and small diameter chamber. This is because the pressure is builded up more slow in those chambers (slow combustion rate). The disk will hold it for some time to delay the release and allow more pressure to be builded before the projectile starts moving.
