How large are the metal bands that wrap around the gun and where could i find them, i looked at a menards hardware store and they only had like 6 inches long. Are the regulators usually found online?

you mean hose clamps? They usually have ones that are up to 6 inches in diameter. And if thats not big enough you can hook 2 together.

I wanted to buy something better than metal clamps, something that looks nicer and will hold my gun together. Any suggestions?

My local Home Depot, Menards and Lowes all have regulators. Check near the compressors.

For the really big hose clamps check near the PVC pipe and fittings. My local Home Depot and Menards have'm up to perhaps 8" diameter. The big ones are not in the same place as the more standard size (1/4" up to an inch or two).

"2 foot long" = about 8" diameter.

AC/Heating supply is a good idea. Come to think of it, check at a hardware or appliance stores near the exhaust duct for clothes driers. They should have 4" to 6" diameter clamps.

I believe you can also sometimes buy the banding and screw mechanisms separately so you can make an arbitrarily long clamp.

If you want to make them look a little better then you can slide a rubber hose over them. That's what i did for my GB Semi (the gun on the homepage). It is a bit of a PITA to get the hose on there, but they they look a little better and won't scratch up your launcher.
