Propane Regulator

hey i need some help on choosing a regulator for my gun it requires 125 PSI of propane pressure. My last regulator was a piece of crap. So I want to get the right one now would this one work? http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/de ... N&v=glance

I have tried to use the cheep inlines , they leaked a LOT.
I have used a real propane reg. they dont leak gas but the ones I got and looked at only went to 60 psi .

If I'm not mistaken for combustion the reg. is not needed w/the proper meter pipe?

yeah, why do you want one of those?? why not just set up a normal propane meter and meter it directly into your length of pipe?? or if you want a valve before the tubing, you can always get another ball valve and use that to "guestimate the real pressure while filling your meter. . .

Get a regulator from an air compressor that has a max input pressure of at least 150, then it will be nice, durable and be very accurate.

I had one of those regulators. It lasted about 2 mins before an oring cracked.

I use one from Harbor Freight. On sale it was like $4. It leaks when I drop the pressure, but it's not a big deal as long as you do it outside.

That reg. looks pretty good. It says that when adjusting it vents air down stream ,but might work correctly with a 'dead end'

i am very sure that your gun does not need 125 psi, unless you are talking about your meter in which case your meter would have to be really small.

Why don't you just make the meter bigger? On a cold day, a propane tank won't even have 125psi of pressure in it. Unless the average temperature where you live is >30 degrees Celcius, I would suggest a larger meter.

Yeah I tried that piece of crap, couldn't get it to seal worth a damn. Definatley agree that a non-relieving regulator is the way to go but the one from the Lowes website would work for what you're doing.

Thanks for the help I dont really care if it leaks just a little bit because im using my guns outside. I think I will go with the one from Lowes if it leaks only when I change the pressure I dont care because I wont be changing the pressure that many times. Thanks again I'll let you guys know if I need help again.
