OK so I bout a BBQ grill lighter. Its just I got the crappy one that requires an earth to spark. I heard someone say something about modding it. Do I need to or is there another way?

OK. Its just one long cord connected to a metal spark plate. It doesnt spark unless it has an earth, i.e. me. Any help?

there should be a metal tab on the side where it grounds to. just solder a wire to it and it should work
