I would just like to say before you might buy d-cell batteries they fit perfectly in a 1.25'' barrel rather than 1.50''.sthorne wrote:kewl, with a 1.5" barrel of that caliber, may i suggest using a heavier ammo?
suggestions:
*D batteries
*bouncy balls (the big ones)
*mini tennis balls (for dogs)
*or even make your own pvc rockets

If you were to make the barrel out of a stronger material (say copper pipe) then the barrel (typical ABS/PVC), would you be able to reduce the barrel length (and thus the volume) in order to keep more pressure?MaxuS the 2nd wrote:You're right, but a barrel shouldn't be of much larger volume than the chamber because the pressure would decrease too much.Jared Haehnel wrote:t has always made sense that barrel should be more volume then the chamber because of the expanding gases during combustion.

Not really, the volume isn't going to increase/decrease with the strength of the material.
Don't worry about ratios too much if all you want is a 'fun gun'.
