not for all of it, but i would use it for the parts that contain pressure... better safe than sorry

Unless you have a high-flow valve and tiny chamber, not really.

IIRC, someone said that a single 1/4" pop-off valve in a 2"x3' PVC chamber would be enough to prevent an explosion in the event of unregged CO2 flooding the chamber.
