I had a cool design idea today, but I need to know what type of BBMG it is classified as first before I can post any major designs.

Hmm. I'm not an expert and BBMGs but I think this is similar to a cloud design. But what would make it more efficient is if you cut a bit off of the blue tube like so...

I would just think that it would be easier for the BBs to exit

I don't know how the bb's would negotiate the bend (if they would lose power or not), but even though it seems that the bb's would be less likely to go into the barrel (as fast anyway) if it was extended into the chamber, but I recently made a quick soap bottle cloud that at first the barrel was flush with the chamber wall, and then was extended halfway into the chamber. The coaxial setup worked actually better, maybe because it was closer to the air inlet, and it was a lot easier to stabilize the barrel with part of it going inside the chamber. Something to think about...

Thats almost the same as the takerlabs sweeper chamber, if you make the bottom of the mag curved it will work, because bbs go round circles better than they go round squares.

I've been around for about 5 years and takerlabs had already created this classic back then, I believe.

The style you propose has alsoalready been done, with removable magazine, right here on this site.
Forgot by who, but I believe that was about a year ago.
It was said to work perfectly.
Search the BBMG showcase if you are interested.

Anyway, good luck, it's a good design, although I think the Ultimate Inline design by Neospud ( plunger driving bb's into vortex block) is superior.

what about the versions that have the plunger moving along the barrel?

sorry...... i couldnt resist. i dont remember who did that one either......

Thanks guys, I'll post some new designs soon, actually concerning the magazine attach/release itself. (I need sleep for school tomorrow, bed @ midnight and up at 7:00 doesn't work). As far as I can tell, from all of my searching, my idea hasn't been made yet, but I could be wrong.

And yes, I agree the inline is a better design, but I wanted the changing magazine ability. That's really the only reason.

it was definetly made before..... i cant find the link either though....

all i can say is, im 100% sure you can make it work. just keep all edges rounded to prevent jamming.

The coax-style plunger seems a good idea to increase barrel length compared to the overall length of your gun.
It seems harder to load however.
A mag wouldn't be a stupid idea, aspecially if one could incorperate a plunger in it, to drive the bb's UP to a vortex block


In any style bbmg with airflow into the bb reservoir, the performance loss is enormous.
They still fire nicely, but now that I have built an airefficient automatic valve, I too want a mag at the bottom.

Mine will have a blow forward bolt, putting he peak pressure very close to the ammo, compared to a normal bbrrppp style bbmg.
