i made this little mini in about 7 hours
it uses a glue gun as housing
and the glue-heating chamber as combustion chamber
it has a detatchable barrel, made from the detatchable glue nozzle
it uses a flyback transformer running on 5 watt for ignition
sorry for any bad grammar, i am dutch and 13 years old

just some test firing

for short barrel designs it's i think the highest of all gasses
it can shoot a q-tip through 2 sheets of paper(i consider that high)

Just got time to watch the videos.....
its pretty dang loud for a mini........ I like it.
For a new member, you seem to have some well-refined concepts and ideas. I want more cannons from you........

its pretty cool how you do your own electrolysis and i like the look of the gun too, and the spark isn't bad either

Impressive, I like how you managed to fit it the glue gun case, you really out to use a piezo ignitor to make it portable. What sort of penetration do you get with "serious" projectiles like BBs or airgun pellets?

i haven't tried any "serious" projectiles, because at the moment i don't have a fitting barrel
i'll work on it
i know the power of pure H2 and O2 mixed in the good proportion, so i used the flyback for remote firing
but now it's tested maybe i can put a piezo in it, but for multiple shots, i would have to have a H2-O2 storage tank

ok so i made a new, longer barrel, fixed some chamber air leaks
and ordered some .22 airgun pellets
i measured the barrel at roughly 5.7 milimeters
so they should fit
i will upload some dmg pics when they arrive

I like it, fairly neat and tidy. Watch out with hydrogen as it has a far higher burn rate than propane so it's more like a sudden shock to the container. Looks like you have it under control though.
Welcome to spudfiles, you should check out my mini hybrid build. I might build an electrolysis unit and have hydrogen as a power source. Good luck

about the cell
it is a electrolyser ripped out of a (€40)estes hydrogen rocket kit
housed in a jam jar
powered by a (€50)10 amp battery charger
where in tap water it draws about 5 amps where it generates 2 cc/s, i add potassium hydroxide(€14/kg) or sodium hydroxide(lye,€4/kg) if i want more amps=faster production
if any1 wants more details/tutorial about the gun/electrolyser/flyback transformer, just ask

Ok, then give me some details on your flyback ignition.if any1 wants more details/tutorial about the gun/electrolyser/flyback transformer, just ask
What kind of flyback did you use, and what else?
Maybe any schematics...
Nice gun, I'd say: scale it up, longer barrel, scope maybe?

iemand, there are many different ways to drive a flyback. From the look of the spark, am i right in saying its 555 driven?
Why do you disconnect the hose every time? Seems it would be more convenient to keep it attached to the syringe, and add a T to the electrolysis machine.
