Travis did a nice job with the paint and assembly but, I have to salute the designer and machinist. Clean simple lines yet, extremely elegant! A combination that's very hard to achieve.

Yes i agree jagerbonds rank should say CNC master. Ive got a kinda personal question. How did you make the faux mag? I mean if its a buisness secret then you dont have to answer if not..........

In my opinion I wouldn't buy pre-made or finished cannons off of the internet ...

... but I think that buying cannons defeats the whole purpose of this hobby which is doing stuff yourself and learning from what you do... I dunn just my opinion

I would buy that one (or the shorty version) if I had the extra loot.
Because atleast when I got it, or assembled it, I'd Know when it's finished.
Something I find difficult otherwise.
Course I'd still be thinking of modding it somehow (nightscope, etc.).

Oh, and this "hobby's purpose" is different, more, and other things for me. Mostly fun or interesting.
I enjoy the tinkering but it can be a pain in the neck too.
IMO pre-made is an advance.

As far as price, atleast it keeps it small scale so not as many idiots with them...(not that idiots can't build similar, they just don't tend to much) 8)

I think the price is very reasonable considering the level of quality. I cludged together a 45 style grip switch out of ebay parts, aluminum extrusion, and water jet cut plate and it cost me over $100. $219 for a milled grip with integrated ignitor is a STEAL. I couldn't have designed a milled grip for less than that for sure.

Jager's stuff represents the absolute Cadillac of propane tater cannons. For Cadillac quality, you pay a Cadillac price.

Thanks for the compliment... I really can't take all the credit, USGF is a CNC Guru. Fortunately he has imparted his "buddha-head" design and machining talents on me and the products you see are very much a collective effort.

To answer your question, the PGI body starts as a billet AL slug measuring 6" x 7" x 3/4" and reductively machined with large opening in the mag well. There are 2 covers that are bolted on each side creating a cavity to hold the igniter parts. The covers are a 2 operation process, A op. drills the 4 holes, counter bores and adds the 3 lines with a ball end mill. For the B op the part is bolted to a jig and a cavity is milled out of the back and final outside shape is cut. The part goes into a media tumbler for deburring and finish.

Hmm I agree that this is all high quality stuff. And I would buy a BL-417 but i doubt that it would get through customs and it's quite expesive... (but worth it)
