I'm on my third block now, the first cracked in half when cutting the hole, second one I butchered the inside. The third now, I made a little mistake drilling. When I was making the barrel hole, the drill always went a little too far (it pulls itself in the hole) and I made thses little bumps in the inside. I am wondering if this is common on vortex blocks and if it will decrease performance enough so that I should fill them in to fix it? Thanks, here are some pics:
Oh and the barrel goes halfway into the vortex hole, is that right or should I move it back some?

the barrel should definitely be moved back, the BBs need to spin around the vortex, in your design you are assuming that the BBs will go straight into the barrel, but IIRC, the BBs are meant to spin around the vortex. I would also make a shroud if I were you so that you could use a spring.

Yeah I will make a shroud soon, I want to get the internal stuff right before I make it unaccessible. So move the barrel back, but are the little holes worth filling with like epoxy or something?

Dont move the barrel back at all.
Simply leave it where it is, and sand it flush.
That way, your barrel takes the shape of the pcv ring.
That is what i did on mine, and it works very well.

Cool that sounds like a good idea. Thanks!
Still nobody has answered my original question though,
Should I fill in the holes or not?

might i suggest you get a sharpe and colour the part of the barrel that will be removed while keeping the barrel in that position and using the pvc to get the perfect shape. then use a dremel to cut/sand away everything that is coloured with the sharpe.

It's all good, I marked it with a sharpy and then took it out and grinded it to the right shape with my bench grinder.
Here's a couple pictures, I'm out of bb's so I couldn't really test fire it a lot, but I picked a couple up and it fires them.

Actually the barrel is not going into the vortex at all, the picture just looks like it. I do buy the ones at walmart, 10k for like 13 dollars I think. But my friend has some and he's coming over this week so I'll ask him to bring some.
