That post doesn't really explain how it is adjustable...

by having flexible tubing within a compression fitting like POLAND_SPUD did you can tighten or loosen the fitting to give a higher or lower "pop-off" pressure.

Looks good but i don't want a hight ROF with minimal air loss, which is why i think the piston route is the best way to go... Vortex blocks and clouds seem to suck the air, like a hooker suc... no, i won't go there!

I can tell you've never been there in the first case the flow is pretty high while in the other it amounts to just a couple of ml over a long period of timeVortex blocks and clouds seem to suck the air, like a hooker suc... no, i won't go there
but you are right to some extant - typical vortexes and clouds use a lot of air, but if you use a detent you can save a lot of air

Well, you can hardly expect an enthusiastic performance for the going rate of human bodies nowadaysPOLAND_SPUD wrote:I can tell you've never been thereVortex blocks and clouds seem to suck the air, like a hooker suc... no, i won't go there

...succinctly embodies a metaphor for the futility of the human condition, yes I see your pointkillerbanjo wrote:Vortex blocks and clouds seem to suck the air, like a hooker suc...
As POLAND_SPUD said above, I agree that standard "bullet hose" vortex/cloud designs are very wasteful of air and ammunition, however by incorporating a detent that will seal each BB in the breech until sufficient pressure builds up to "pop" it out, you are not only dropping the rate of fire to a much more reasonable rate, but also increasing the power for each shot.
Jim has some thoughts on the subject here, and I have my own ideas, worth a read through.
I've done a lot of work with reciprocating mechanisms (and to answer your query,no, didn't make this work) but at the end of the day, there are simpler and much more efficient solutions.

Well guys, after LOTS of searching i found this site.
His MK1 design looks almost identical to the one i came up with and on his MK2 he said it was to fix the timing issues that he had with the mk1. After looking at all 4 i think the mk2 is very complex, but looks the best.
Off to bed, night guys.

Could have found it herekillerbanjo wrote:Well guys, after LOTS of searching i found this site.
Still overly complex in my opinion but whatever floats your boat
If you want a reciprocating design that works, a pop-off style valve is relatively simple to make and ideal for this sort of thing.
If you want to incorporate a loading bolt, there are several ways in which the design can be adapted, look through here.
Personally, I find a simple "tee" magazine without a bolt works great for spherical projectiles:
