this is a regular coax piston valve. it is .25 caliber and piloted by a 1/2 ball valve and filled via an ex-propane tank filled with air. my pump is in use so i can only use up to 120 psi
the airchamber is 3/4 inch copper and is sealed with epoxy.
the barrel is 3ft long and .25 caliber. the entire thing is threaded. it should have cost alot but it only cost $7 bc i bought it in the lamp section (not plumbing 8)
the piston is hot glue with 1 layer of masking tape around it for a smoother ride. the sealing face is rubber that is about 3 or 4mm thick and presses up against the end of the barrel which is lined in teflon to improve the air seal.
the bumper is a thick o-ring which lies in the 3/4 to 1/2 adapter
also i took my first try at casting my own bullets. the idea is not mine, i think i got it off one of the how-tos here so please speak up if i am using your idea bc it works well for me.
the block is two wood pieces with three .25 holes drilled roughly 15mm deep. i put flux on the inside and then use a blowtorch to melt solder into the holes. then i take off the clamps and retrieve my bullets.
the bullets work fairly well and with this gun at 100psi i blasted a hole through an empty spray-paint can. with airsoft bbs i can shoot very powerfully and about 100ft
i am satistfied with this gun and please comment
BTW I ADDED SOME PICS OF MY NEXT PROJECT IN THE MAKING JUST TO MAKE YOU WONDER

Why are you showing that very average coax alongside your next project which is quite obviously a machined piece of envy?
This inconsistency is bothering me. All neat stuff though.

the barrel has a spacer on the inside made of duct tape rolled up and then 1/4 inch holes drilled through through the tape for air flowlemming124 wrote:you should be satisfied it looks great! how is the barrel centred?

If you could get that lovely breech machined, why are you casting your slugs in a block of wood? Even a section of barrel material seems like a better idea.
