I am currently converting my nerf vulcan to a vortex bbmg. It is currently 25% of the way done, I have made the vortex cap, just need to get some extra fittings to make it hold a bit more ammo.... My plans are for it to be used in an airsoft war, of course if I don't paint it, it would look hilarious and everyone would underestimate it. So far, it shoots about 50 feet with just lung power, so when I hook it up to compressed air, its gonna have quite a bit of power! I will update soon as I get more parts!

So you're just using it for the shell? Sounds interesting

Pretty much. The shell is the only thing left, the rest is going to be stuff like tubing and a blowgun trigger and pvc and stuff. I have the vortex cap made, I just need a curved, not a sharp, 90* elbow, so I can make the ammo holder. Then its complete. Should I paint it or leave it orange and yellow?

It'll look ridiculous on airsoft field if you leave it as-is. I'd paint everything but the tip which should stay orange. If you search around you can find some vulcans converted into some pretty awesome looking minigun models.

Well, the ridiculous look is kinda what I want. Just so everyone underestimates the true power. Know what I mean?

Anyone who underestimates a silly looking gun deserves to lose. You might even consider wearing a clown outfit to employ some reverse psychology tactics. Slip on a banana peel and then rip the person a new excrement muzzle.
