Ok, heres the deal. I have about $100 to spend, and I really dont want to have to spend THAT much. Heres my plan, getting one of these http://www.thetoyshop.com/Roleplay/Doub ... N290015_gs and then adding in push to connect hoses (made for pneumatics obviously) and then adding an air supply, modding the shells to shoot airsoft bb's and what not, and replacing the main piston with either a much more powerful piston valve or a blow gun. It is going to use a 2"x1' air tank, and that should be enough air at 75 or so psi. I need you guys to help me figure this out, its going to be my first, and its going to be made for a friend, with his cash so he is trusting me not to spend it all. Any help is gladly accepted.

looks like you already have it figured out
but for reals you didn't ask any questions.

In order for that to work you will must likely have to make/install a much better seal and locking mechanism or it will likely blow itself to bits. This could cause problems with getting the faces to mate correctly. It would be pretty cool if you get it to work though.

Irisher, its mostly going to remain the same as it is now, just modified so it holds and fires more air. I dont this it will blow up though.
Little edit, I was thinking about a co2 inflator, may be a little easier but it will require a new canister every shot right? I suppose I can get a co2 regulator, and some tubing and what not, but that may take a bit of time.

Those guns are not good guns to base things around, the shells are really quite weak and the springs are cocked by a string! yes a thin string that goes through a few pullies that creak every time you cock the gun. I'm not trying to put a spanner in your beautifully formed gears of thought but from experience it will be very hard to work around that shell.

Cammy, its pretty much as simple as pulling everything out, replacing with your own and done. I am going to try it, and if it fails, well then its time to try my other idea.

Sorry for double post, and yes I know of the edit button but I wanted to make sure you guys knew. My friend decided he wants a mortar instead, so thats what I am going to do. Its going to use a 3/4" or 1" QEV with a slide valve, a 1'x1" chamber, and a 2 and 3 inch interchangeable barrel.

Ok problem there. Too small chamber, too small valve. Bump up to a 2" piston valve and 2" chamber and you will be golden. Plus the valve can be built for the same price if not less than one of them fancy QEVs.

Well, theres my problem, it cant be that big, and my friend does not have an air compressor so its not like he can charge it up to 175 psi or anything. I have to have it small, and small enough so he does not blast his head off or anything. So yeah. I just ordered the parts, they will be here by monday, but now I have to order a 3" barrel, for tennis balls unless I can find lowes or homedepot to carry them.

They may be, but a bit of wadding and it wont be that bad. Its fine though, because my friend does not have an huge space to fire it, so as long as it makes alot of noises and shoots at least 10 meters he will like it.

If he just wants 10 meters, Id just grab a sprinkler valve.
That is all.

No, his cousin wants ten meters, he wants 100-200 meters. I said I would try my best. (His cousin does not trust him very much with it, but I do which is why I am building it.)
