3 way valve?

I have been using the search here and looking on like google but i cant find anything on like an explanation of how a 3 way valve works or how it works with a QEV, so could somebody help me out?

hat's the part directly attached to the 3 way valve... you know the one that looks exactly like a QEV and works in the same way...

A 3 way has three ports. A-inlet, B-pilot and C-exhaust. Basically, when air is connected, air goes from A to B. When you push the valve, air goes from B to C.

ok so i understand how they work now, but should i attempt to build one or buy one? Because, and correct me if i'm wrong, i have heard the rod is a pain to make, but store bought ones don't hold as much pressure.

yeah, though check ebay - you can get one for just 10$ or so

as gun freak has pointed out a 3 way valve is just a valve that has 3 ports... you can use it to fill something (an air cylinder a chamber etc.) and then vent it

you'd have to use two 2 way valves (for example a blowgun or ball valve) to acheive the same result

it's up to you - IMO it's cheaper to buy one

one more question, if i were running at like 120 psi, using this set up, do you know how much fps i would get?
