I need a hopper that can screw into a 1/8" coupling, and it needs to hold airsoft bb's. Its for a shotgun that I put together for a friend, and he doesn't really have the patience to unscrew and then screw the mag cap to reload. I just need some ideas on what I can make a hopper out of, and how effective it would be.

I think a hopper would be better, considering this is pretty much an AA12.

The amount of ammo I need it to hold is the hard part... I need it to hold a minimum of 250 rounds, and feed easily with little to no jams.

Your feeding mech will control the jams, how are you planning to feed ammo from this hopper? But if you've got that figured out, I'd recommend tapping a 1/8" holt in the corner of a 45 degree elbow, then grinding the nipple flush with a dremel toolwarhead052 wrote:The amount of ammo I need it to hold is the hard part... Check Goats picture. That's pretty much how it is currently set up, but without the quick connect. Air flows both out the barrel, and through the mag, so I guess the air would agitate the bb's as well as fire them out.

the quick connect is there because you said your friend CBA unscrewing the cap and where the black tube is put a hopper or something?warhead052 wrote:I think a hopper would be better, considering this is pretty much an AA12.

Tried that. It didn't work.ramses wrote:Can you get an airsoft hopup and a high-capacity magazine? I think that would be ideal, and would hold 400+ shots.

Well, put it this way, you know how there is a tube that pushes a bb forward every time cock it back? I didn't have that tube so the bb's just stayed put and didn't move because of the pin that held them down to keep the spring in the mag from pushing em all out of the barrel.

Can't you fabricate that ? or better yet salvage one from the unit you used ? (or other one that fits)

Not enough money, and I already have the gun made, I just need a hopper instead of the stick mag.
