Converting a gas magazine.

Well, how many shots do you think I could get with 150 psi? I can get around 3 with 50, so would that mean I can get 9 shots with 150? My mom has decided to ground me from going to lowes or home depot or any where that supplies fittings or airsoft stuff (essentially every where....) and I can't do much other than drill a hole and epoxy a schrader now...

I'd say close to that. You probably won't be able to get a whole mag off. But seriously why even bother with air conversion if propane is so cheap... Just convince your mom...

Its hard to say without holding it. But if it's designed for use with propane, which can be at pressures of over 150 psi depending on the temperature, then it has to be safe at 200 psi because there has to be a little bit of a safety factor. I'd say most could hold 200, and the quality brands maybe 250. I've used my friend's GBB pistols and the mags are really heavy and seem to be solidly built, and I'd trust them at 250, but he has high quality good brand ones.

This one is pretty heavy, maybe just over 3/4 of a pound.

I'd imagine the walls are pretty thick (couple mm) but it is a rectangular pressure vessel which gives it worse strength characteristics than a cylindrical vessel. But given the safe operational pressure and a figured safety factor, you should be ok with 200 psi.

I'd be worried about overpowering the internals and breaking something because the gun isn't designed for use with such high pressure. This whole time we've been discussing the integrity of the magazine when really we should also be worrying about if the gun can handle the higher pressure.

The gun should be able to, the propane runs at what, 125 psi? I won't mind a bit of over power, as long as it stings when it hits.

Well dude if it normally runs at 125 then putting 200 through it is almost doubling the forces! That's a lot of wear on the internals and possible the slide.

Gun freak, air pressure drops faster than propane pressure, so I'm not too concerned.

It doesn't matter what drops faster, there will still be that one overly powerful first shot. But if you think it can handle it then go for it. Yeah it happens in the beginning of every year or something like that. Will be good from 2 to 3, if you care to see.
