Check the forum for more examples (we do have an 'advanced search' feature) but in the mean time, any of those options in the link above will serve you well. BBQ igniters should be found at some hardware stores but if you can't find them you can always use a kitchen sparker thingy or buy a proper BBQ piezo sparker online.

I get these at Home Depot and Lowes, they are only about half that price in the store though.

I'm for the broken lamp method. Or two electrodes, a capacitor and a rod witch makes them touch. Or at worst, a small combustion chamber with O2 enriched fuel. I've never had a failure with orecharged hotwire.

he means a broken light bulb i think...
Perhaps we should have an igniters megathread? This was the most recent I could find.
In the UK, where stun guns are illegal, getting a good spark generator is a real PITA. Piezo igniters have pathetic sparks, and electric BBQ igniters seem hard to find.
I was having a look on ebay and I found this one from china.
I didn't have high expectations, but it arrived and I am really impressed. It sparks more than sixty times a second and the spark easily leaps the 1cm between the terminals. It takes a single AAA battery.
I've fixed it to my new cannon, which has a metallic tape 6-spark setup and it works a treat. I'm looking forward to firing.
