Inline BBMG M249 SAW
So I was in need of a little more modern weapon for air soft considering I have a M1A1 Thompson and a Colt 1911 ( hey I like World War 2 weapons alot). So I decided to build a M259 Saw as a test project to see what I could do with a BBMG. The gun is a complete replica of the real thing aside from a few details that I was to lazy to put on. Its 41 inches long, and three inches wide at the receiver. I used a modified blow gun for the trigger with some brass compression fitting to channel the air to the vortex block which is a few inches away from the pistol grip. The barrel is made out of brass tubing which had the same inner diameter of a old air soft barrel. I made the stock, front grip and the pistol grip out of some scrap wood. I made the sights and receiver cover out of sheet metal, along with the mag. I have yet to test it with a regulated airflow from an air compressor, and after I get it to work I will get an HPA tank for some mobility. Oh, and this is my first BBMG.

- This is not my version of it but I based my gun off of The MKII, I liked the stock and extended barrel.

Interesting!
I based this one's outline on the M249 too: http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/vortex- ... -t166.html
never finished it aesthetically though.
Have you actually finished yours?

Wow that gun is nice! Do you plan on using it in an airsoft war? Amazing job for your first gun (it is your first right?)
Yep that is the intentional use , did some test firing earlier shoot pretty good, sorta gets a bird shot affect, and I think i need more epoxy on the air inlet due to me moving it to much. Also the plunger was to strong so i will have to work on that some more and its also a pain in the a$$ to load.
