I am liking the idea of an entire cannon having absolutely no electronic components like batteries, etc.... just a piezo igniter and wondered also if it was doable to have a hand-cranked chamber fan somehow?
Has it ever been done? Could it be done? Like, with a crank and worm gear or something?
Manual crank chamber fan?

Oh, wow.
Where exactly did he get all that stainless pipe from? That's a small fortune right there. Holy pewp.
I would LOVE to get some thin wall steel and build an entire metal cannon but for now I'm using PVC on a metal frame.
I don't see how he did that fan though, it looks like a knob or something like a fishing reel type thing but I can't tell.

You could use the spring out of a tape measure to store energy from cranking. Hook one end to your crank and the other to a small step-up gearbox to drive the fan. Add a clutch pin so it only runs when you want it to.

why not use simpler methods ? put a lenght of chain inside and shake the gun prior to firing

or a checkvalve-less small bikepump...
Best would be to add a tube to the chamber and run a rod with an O-ringed piston inside it.
It doesn't need to be able to suck in fresh air.
Just push and pull it to suck in and mix.
If you'd seal the pumprod, the piston itself could even be without seal.
With the pumprod extended you could fire the cannon without having a pumprod flying out..
The connection between this pump and the chamber could be made to cause turbulance...
