From what i know, a QEV is a QEV, i didn't know there are multiple types of them.. If you could just point me what QEV type i am looking for between the two in my link that'd be great

Thanks

Yes..I need to know the difference between those two

I think the second link displays enough info about both of the QEV's though.
Thanks!

What are you trying to build?
You post about about .177 BB machine gun and also about using QEV for another project.
You need to be more explicit in your post!

I initially wanted to build a .177 BB machine gun with a QEV and a pop off valve and a 3000psi paintball tank and a regulator, but then jackssmirkingrevenge came up with another idea that i should directly connect the barrel to the air tank with a high pressure trigger.

Basically i want to try both designs, that's why i need to know which QEV people around here usually chose.
Thanks!

Both types of QEV's have been used successfully.
The rectangular shaped ones would have a narrower width than the round ones. That is what I would use.
JSR's links will assist you.

I've used the ones on the right, the round ones.
They work very well at pressures up to 900 psi.

If you stick to .177 projectiles and HPA however, I must insist you go for the pressurewasher trigger and forget the QEV.

You will only waste propellant gas on piloting the piston without any increase in performance.

Surely, you can control the rate of fire, but a pressurewasher valve has more than enough flow ( more than 100%) to launch .177 bb's at tremendous speed.

As the HPwasher valve opens the first couple of shots ( things happen fast) the valve might not be open fully. But from then on they get 100% flow.

in a QEV -pop-off situation you will loose pressure to all moving parts, to piloting and to filling the dead spaces over and over each pop.

If you want top performance, make the bb reservoir as small as you can.
Just big enough to fit the number of bb's you prefer.
Anything more will just be dead space.
