Hello guys! :D I am working on a new gun. I am going to be using air to power this gun. I want it to semi auto. So I will be using a hammer valve. I have drawn up an idea for a hammer valve. I want to know if this will work. I have a good hunch that this will but I just want some clarification. I will be using pvc for the air chamber and brake link for the valve.

Now the valve is open allowing the air to go through the holes and release the air. There will be a barrel just right about the valve so thats were that will be.

So what you are seeing is the close valve. Basically there is a spring that is pushing on the brake line to shut it against the nipple that comes on the brake line. both ends of the brake link are close and will be sealed tightly. Then there are holes in it to let the air out when it is opened. An o-ring will be on the brake line to make sure air does not go over the brake line through the nipple.

Pretty much except that I will be using pvc as an air tank instead of a bike pump.

Also the "pin" is going to brake line so mine is a larger scale.

Edited by jrrdw, double post.

It's been made before with pvc and brake line a long while back by clemsonguy1125 and it works. It's not the best valve but it will fire a bb.

Amazon :)

You won't normally find them at your average hardware store.

Thank you now I might do that or still make a hammer valve. Now should I have a really tough spring a kinda tough spring like in the middle between tough and easy spring.

You need to start experimenting with springs, hammer weights, the amount of travel on it.

Hard to tell.

The idea is sound though.
But remember, the bigger these things get, the harder they are to knock open.

Now this is when the valve is open the air will rush through the male adapter.

so what I am thinking now is to use a long nail as my pin I will have an o ring on one end which which will be the end inside the air tank. There will be a male adapter screwed in so the smallest part is showing inside the air tank. The spring will be outside of the pvc pipe. By the nail head. So the mail adapter is what the air will go through.
